Craft beer restaurant in London

The "BrewDog Camden" in London is much more than just a restaurant – it is a paradise for craft beer lovers and a gathering place for anyone seeking a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. As part of the Scottish BrewDog chain, known for its innovative beers and rebellious spirit, this location was the first BrewDog outlet in England, opening its doors in 2011. Since then, it has established itself as a staple in one of London’s trendiest neighborhoods, Camden. The venue combines the energy of Camden's alternative vibe with a passion for craft-brewed beer and delicious food.

Vibrant atmosphere at BrewDog

The decor of "BrewDog Camden" is modern and industrial, with two floors that offer different moods. The ground floor boasts an open, lively atmosphere with high ceilings and large windows, while the basement area, with its cozy seating nooks and a hint of pub character, invites people to linger. The walls are often adorned with artwork or quotes that reflect the unconventional spirit of the brand. Dogs are welcome here, adding an extra touch of laid-back charm – a detail that perfectly aligns with the relaxed Camden culture.

Beer tastings at BrewDog Camden

Culinarily, the focus is on uncomplicated yet high-quality dishes that pair perfectly with the extensive beer selection. The juicy burgers are particularly popular, such as the "Patriot Burger" with tender beef, crispy bacon, and a spicy sauce that delights the palate. Chicken wings are also highly sought after – available in various flavors, from spicy buffalo to sweet and smoky BBQ, they make an ideal accompaniment to a cold pint. There are appealing options for vegetarians as well, like the "Cluck Norris," a plant-based burger that impresses with its crispy coating and creamy sauce. The sides, such as the sweet potato fries, are often praised for their perfect texture and intense flavor. For something lighter, guests can opt for edamame beans – a small but fine addition to the beer experience.

Burgers and craft beer pairing

However, the true heart of "BrewDog Camden" lies in its beverage selection. The bar offers an impressive range of craft beers, both from BrewDog itself and from guest breweries around the world. Classics like the "Punk IPA," with its fruity hop notes, are alongside experimental creations that expand the spectrum from sour to strong. The opportunity to sample small tastings beforehand to find a personal favorite is particularly appreciated. In addition to beers, there is a selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic options that round out the offering and appeal to non-beer drinkers.

Cozy pub in Camden

The service is another highlight: the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and often carries an infectious enthusiasm for beer. They take the time to provide recommendations or share the story behind a particular brew, making the experience more personal. However, during peak times, it can get a bit hectic, and the wait for food can occasionally be lengthy – a minor drawback that is typically outweighed by the quality.

"BrewDog Camden" is also known for its special events, such as "Wing Wednesdays," where guests can enjoy unlimited chicken wings, or beer tastings that provide a deeper insight into the world of craft beer. Families are also catered to, as there is a special children's menu that is even offered for free in the summer when an adult dines – an offer that underscores the relaxed atmosphere.

Brewdog app no longer works so if you have Equity for Punk discounts you have to log in blah. Right old pain but staff showed me where it was. We did turn up pre Punk rock gig (Split Dogs & Club Brat) for the Impossible burger deal, get second one for £1. However, you have to have booked a table so I bought vegan chicken wings from Temple of Seitan , they were amazing. Plus a load of booze.

Good pub for interesting beers ,stouts and porta's. Some of the beers are deadly strong 10% but mighty tasty. You drink small measures here and appreciate the flavours.

We came here before a gig, the food wasn't good my wife's burger was burnt mine was over done. The toilets downstairs are rubbish no soap and just a bit grim. I've been to another BrewDog and it was a decent pub. We definitely won't come back. I wouldn't recommend it's a small pub as well so pick one of their larger ones around London.

Pro The bartenders are really nice guys, we had a lot of fun, and the stuff positively contributed to the experience. The burgers were good. The beers were good. The venue was nice. I really enjoyed it, 5 stars for them! Feedback for the stuff to keep in mind. We had booked a table for three to eat, but we were given a table in which it is not possible for three people to eat, it was unfortunate because there were plenty of tables for >4 with just 1 person sitting. We addressed it with the bartender and we moved to a different table that luckily was available.

BrewDog Pub offers an excellent selection of craft beers, from bold IPAs to smooth stouts, with friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to recommend the perfect brew. The pub’s vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with modern decor and plenty of space. The highlight, however, is Nelson—the pub’s resident dog. His friendly personality adds a special touch, making the experience feel even more inviting. Whether lounging around or greeting guests, Nelson is truly the best dog. If you’re in the area, BrewDog Pub is a must-visit for great beer and a warm, community-driven atmosphere.
